Carla G. Zeiter, M.S., (BCBA Candidate)
I have been working as a behavioral consultant, specializing in in-home ABA programs for children with autism and other developmental delays for the past 10 years. I have a master’s in Clinical Behavioral Psychology from Eastern Michigan University and a bachelor’s in Hearing and Speech Pathology from the University of Toledo. I have attended a wide variety of trainings/workshops from presenters in the field, some such as Dr. O. Ivar Lovaas, Dr. Vincent Carbone, and Drs. Partington and Sundberg.
My professional affiliations include the Association for Behavior Analysis, Autism Special Interest Group, Behavior Analysis Association of Michigan, Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies, Autism Society of America, Autism Society of Northwest Ohio, and National Autism Association.
I also have the Sign2Me Presenters’ Network Level 1 Certification allowing me to teach parents how to use American Sign Language with their children to lessen the frustration for pre-verbal babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
I advocate and practice the philosophies and teachings of the Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF). WAPF is a great resource for learning about healthy traditional food preparation, nutrient-dense foods, and sustainable agriculture.
I am a mother to 2 young children. I am a huge advocate of attachment parenting. I belong to the Toledo La Leche League, Toledo Area Babywearers, Toledo Area Cloth Diaperers, Toledo Area Homeschoolers, and I’m the organizer of The Toledo Signing with Baby Meetup Group.
