Carla Zeiter, M.S., Autism/ABA Consultant

Specializing in In-Home ABA Programs for Children with Autism & Other Related Disorders

Services

I provide consultation services for young children and their families seeking early intensive behavioral intervention based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.  I consult with families within a 50-mile radius of Toledo, Ohio.  I am willing to travel a little farther, if needed.

I offer a range of direct and consultative services, including:

Home-Based ABA Intervention Program Design, Consultation, & Supervision:

I will review your child's unique repertoire of skills and deficits and design an individualized treatment plan based on the principles of ABA.  I will provide training and guidance for the development, implementation, and maintenance of your child’s intensive language intervention program.  Between ongoing training sessions, the family, using their team of instructors, will provide 20-40 hours per week of one-on-one therapy to the child in need.  Your program will be maintained and updated via regular monthly visits, video reviews, phone consultations, and email correspondance.

Further, I will work with you and your IEP / IFSP team to develop and track appropriate treatment goals.

Parent Training:

Because the success of any intervention program is based on its ability to be generalized into the natural environment, I place particular emphasis on parent involvement. Parents are often the predictor of their child’s outcome.  Parent training is included as part of each intensive home-based program, but parent training may also be accessed as an independent service using a consultative model. Parent training generally includes training in ABA theory and practical application, including how to teach new skills and address problem behaviors. Recommended interventions and short-term goals are also given, with support and feedback for achieving each family's goals.
