How many hours per week?

Ideally, the child needs between 2-6 hours per day, 5-7 days per week, and 15-40 hours per week of applied behavior analysis.  Research demonstrates that the more intensive the programming, the more effective the results are.  The child should have a team of 3-6 tutors to implement the ABA program.  Each tutor should provide 6-15 hours per week.  In addition, both parents are encouraged to provide 2-6 hours of therapy with their child per week, enabling them to maintain a consistent approach among all therapists and to generalize their child’s mastered skills into the everyday environment.
